Eastern Fire Suppression is a D.O.T. certified high and low pressure hydrostatic testing facility. Our technicians are trained and certified to meet Department of Transportation requirements.

We hydro-test:

Low-pressure portable fire extinguishers
High-pressure CO2 cylinders (such as nitrogen oxide)
SCBA Tanks
Paintball cylinders
Beermeisters

What is hydrostatic testing?

Hydrostatic testing, also called hydro-testing, is required by the Department of Transportation to check the integrity of pressurized metal cylinders, including fire extinguishers, scuba tanks, CO2 cylinders and oxygen cylinders

Fire extinguishers such as dry chemical extinguishers typically need to be tested every 12 years while CO2 cylinders and pressurized water extinguishers are retested every five years. Most scba and other high pressure cylinders need to be tested between three and five years. Information can be found in the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR).

Pick Up or Drop Off

We'll be happy to pick up your tank(s), or feel free to stop by our shop in Williamstown, New Jersey during normal business hours. We recommend calling in advance to set up an appointment with our shop manager.

All of our systems include design, installation, inspection and maintenance.
